When do I have to pay for my courses?

You must pay the full fees three weeks before you start the course. If your course starts in less than three weeks payment must be received in full at the time of booking.

If you are applying for a visa, then we will ask you to pay the non-refundable registration fee of £70 and the tuition fees deposit of £200 before we send you the paperwork needed to make your application.

What nationalities and ages are the students at your centres?

We have students from a wide range of different countries. The minimum age for enrolment is 18 years and most of our students are aged between 18-35. We also have a number of students older than this who are very welcome and fit in very well with our diverse student community.

Can I get a Student discount card?

You certainly can. To qualify for the Student Oyster Card, which gives you 30 per cent discount on London Transport, you need to be enrolled on a full time course with us for a minimum of 15 weeks.

Can you help me to get a job?

We would be delighted to help students gain employment and can give you advice and information on working in the UK.

What qualifications do the teachers have?

All our teachers are qualified to teach English language courses. Some of our staff also have a good deal of experience working overseas. So ask them where they have worked; they may have taught in your country!

What are your teaching methods?

We do not just lecture from the front, but in our classes, you will be doing a LOT of talking. You will sometimes be working alone, sometimes in twos or threes and sometimes in bigger groups. You will be following a course book, completing worksheets, discussing things, doing role plays, listening to people speaking English, watching videos, making notes, playing games and listening to songs and conversations. You will learn that you can work hard and have fun at the same time. Everyone learns best in a different way, so we will use several different methods to help you to learn and practise English.

We will also give you links to online resources and help you with your study skills, so that you can work on your English at home.

When can I start my course? Can I start my course on a day other than Monday?

You can start your course on any Monday. Monday is the best day to start as the teacher starts a new course plan each week with the needs of individual students in mind and carries out assessments on new students. However, if you cannot start on a Monday, we will do our best to arrange another starting day.

How far in advance do I have to book my course?

You can book your course any time before it starts, even up to a day or two before, if you are already in the country.

How much does it cost?

You can see our price-list online. The price depends on how many weeks you study (the price per hour decreases the more weeks you choose), whether it is full time or part time and the type of course.

How can I pay for the course?

If you book online you can pay using our secure online payment facility or you can pay by bank transfer. If you book at reception, you can pay cash or just show us evidence of a bank transfer. Any student that requires a visa to enter the UK must have paid in full before travelling to the UK.

Are there any other costs?

Apart from the cost of the course, we charge a registration fee which includes course attendance certification. You will also be required to register and pay for any external examinations.

What is your cancellation policy?

Any fees already paid towards the course, will not be refunded where cancellations are received after the course commencement date, for whatever reason. In addition, any balance of outstanding fees on the student’s account must be paid in full. For international students a refund may be made if a visa application is declined and the refusal letter is submitted to the school.

Can I postpone my course?

This depends on the reason. We will always try to be as flexible as possible as we know your plans and circumstances can change. So if we can postpone your course we will but it will depend on availability of your course in the future.

Do you have Wi Fi in the schools?

Yes. We have high speed Internet in all our centres. You can link to it wirelessly using your laptop or mobile device.

Do you help with accommodation?

We can arrange accomodation through our partners Britannia Student Services and Host Internationl, they are both registered with the British Council for the provision of accommodation services.
